The inspiration for this landscape painting comes from the autumn that we have here in Quebec where we find a multitude of colors with the end of blooms and leaves that twirl with the wind. The flowers that dry on the stems give different colors than those in summer which are more saturated. Those of autumn are soft and subtle in very interesting colors of mauves and orange trees. In my series of imaginary landscapes, realism faces imaginary and I allow myself to add subtle motifs by collages of Japanese Chyiogami papers that bring a bit of madness to the whole. The work is painted in mixed techniques and acrylic and textured with structural mortar. The sides of the canvas are painted black and the canvas is varnished.
